Forged from 1084 high-carbon steel, this petty knife is made to serve a wide variety of purposes in the kitchen. The blade has a thick, durable spine and a well-supported tip for handling tough tasks like butchering chicken or cutting into butternut squash.
The edge geometry of the blade allows for a thick spine and a very thin cutting edge. The result is a rugged, versatile knife with a fine enough cutting edge to handle the most delicate prep work.
The carved handle is made from reclaimed, burnt white ash and fitted with a coconut shell bolster. Burning certain types of wood allows for a smoother, more water-resistant finish.
